Primary Care Physician

The Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) serving Guilford and Rockingham Counties in NC is seeking a dynamic physician who will serve as a primary care physician.

Under the supervision of the Medical Director and in consultation with the Executive Director, the Primary Care Physician provides primary care and continuous medical coverage to PACE of the Triad participants. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan, care for, and provide services to frail elder participants according to assigned responsibilities and PACE of the Triad standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of physical, mental and social needs of frail older adults.
  • Thorough knowledge of current concepts, theories and practices related to home and community-based care for the elderly and disabled adults
  • Working knowledge of health care delivery and financing systems including Medicaid, Medicare, waiver programs, prospective and capitated systems, public health programs and HMO/Managed Care.
  • Education: Medical Doctor with emphasis in geriatrics preferred.  Board certified in Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Practice.  Current North Carolina license and DEA registration required.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year experience working with a frail or elderly population required.
  • Working knowledge of the PACE regulations preferred.
