PACE of the Triad Satisfaction Results

Each year, PACE of the Triad partners with Vital Research to conduct satisfaction surveys for our participants as well as for our caregivers. We look forward to this partnership because we recognize the benefits of learning what our participants and their caregivers truly think about the services we offer. Vital Research’s Integrated Satisfaction Measurement for PACE programs (or, “I-SAT” Survey) offers us the opportunity to compare our scores to other PACE sites across North Carolina in order to see how we match up. We are also able to compare our own results from previous years so that we can make sure we continue to improve across the board.

While we are thankful for the many areas we have to celebrate, we equally appreciate when we are given the opportunity to identify areas in which to improve.

Here at PACE, we are preparing to host Vital Research for this year’s surveys. As we do so, we would like to take a moment to share some of last year’s results with you.

Participant Survey

The I-Sat Participant survey examines participant satisfaction across 10 different domains, including: Transportation, Center Aides, Home Care, Medical Care, Health Care Specialist, Social Worker, Meals, Rehabilitation Therapy and Exercise, Recreational Therapy and ‘Other’ Indicators. In 2014, PACE of the Triad scored the highest in the domains of Transportation and Social Work (each with a satisfaction rate of 96%). We identified opportunities for improvement with our Meal time. Although our satisfaction rate was in line with the statewide Meals Satisfaction Rate of 75%, our Adult Day Health Center has put several actions into place to address participant satisfaction. Our Adult Day Health Center Coordinator and Participant Advisory Council continue to monitor participant satisfaction with mealtime. Overall, our program received an overall 99% satisfaction ranking, with 97% of our participants stating that they would recommend our services to a close friend or relative.

Caregiver Survey

The I-Sat Caregiver survey examines participant satisfaction across 10 different domains, including: Transportation, Help & Assistance, Medical Care, Social Work, Meals & Nutrition, Recreational Activities, Therapeutic/Rehabilitative Exercises, Home Services, Environment/Safety and Communication. In 2014, PACE of the Triad scored the highest in the domains of Help & Assistance and Transportation (With Satisfaction Ratings of 99% and 98%, respectively). We identified opportunities for improvement with Recreational Activities. Although our satisfaction rate was one percent higher (82%) than the statewide rate (81%) , our Recreation and Activities team has put several actions into place to address suggestions for activities. Our Adult Day Health Center Coordinator and Participant Advisory Council continue to monitor participant satisfaction with offered recreational activities. Overall, our program received an overall 100% satisfaction ranking, with 100% of our caregivers stating that they would recommend our services to a close friend or relative!

Vital Research will be coming to PACE of the Triad in August to conduct this years’ Satisfaction Surveys. We are excited to share those results with you as we receive them!
